To say I am passionate about animals is a severe understatement. I obviously love my animals – two purrfect orange cats and a 75lb dog / couch potato – but I also have an affinity to help out anywhere / everywhere I can.
Every year the Humane Society of Indianapolis hosts the greatest spectacle in dog walking – the Mutt Strut – where dog owners and our four-legged children hit the track at the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway to raise money for the awesome organization.
For this year’s Mutt Strut, some good friends and I are fundraising as a group – Team Mutts Strut Best. Naturally, I designed & developed a custom landing page to help us achieve (and beat) our goal!
Notes on the Project
Unfortunately, the actual Indy Mutt Strut website isn’t easy to use, nor is it mobile friendly. To help our team achieve our fundraising goal, I build this site as workaround to make it easy for our friends & families to get involved with us.
The Mutts Strut Best team website was more than just a passion project to me, which is why I had to tackle it from scratch and from the ground up.
This lightweight site was built using Bootstrap framework with some custom Javascript / jQuery elements.
Boyd, my friend Sarah’s pitbull, is our shining mascot, which is why I chose him to be the base of the logo I designed.
